RBTS Homeopathic Medical College Muzaffarpur in Bihar, is being developed as Bihar’s first model homeopathic medical college with ₹111 crore investment.
₹111 Crore Project to Transform RBTS Homeopathic Medical College into Bihar’s First ‘Model’ Institution
Muzaffarpur, Bihar: Muzaffarpur is set to witness a major boost in healthcare and medical education as RBTS Homeopathic Medical College undergoes a complete transformation. With an investment of around ₹111 crore, the college and hospital at Ramdayalu Nagar are being developed into Bihar’s first ‘Model’ Homeopathic Medical College.
Once completed, the institution is expected to rank among the most modern AYUSH establishments in the country, strengthening Muzaffarpur’s growing reputation as a healthcare hub in North Bihar.
Modern, Earthquake-Resistant Campus Taking Shape
Under the ambitious project, new grand and earthquake-resistant buildings are being constructed across the campus. The hospital will be fully high-tech, ensuring that patients receive all major diagnostic services under one roof.
Planned medical facilities include:
- Advanced X-ray services
- CT Scan and MRI units
- A fully equipped dental laboratory
- Modern diagnostic and testing laboratories
To support overall well-being, a dedicated Yoga Centre will also be established, focusing on both mental and physical health.
In line with environmental responsibility, the entire campus will be powered by solar panels, making it a green and energy-efficient medical institution.
Academic Upgradation for Future Homeopaths
The college, affiliated with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, is the only government homeopathic medical college under the university. Along with infrastructure, the academic ecosystem is also being upgraded.
Key academic improvements include:
- Expanded classrooms with modern teaching aids
- A well-equipped auditorium
- New laboratories and research centres as per AYUSH Ministry standards
- Lift facilities across buildings for elderly and differently-abled patients and students
These upgrades aim to improve both teaching quality and research output, offering students better learning and professional opportunities.
A Healthcare Lifeline for North Bihar
At present, many homeopathy patients in North Bihar rely heavily on private clinics, often at high cost. The upcoming model hospital will provide free and world-class homeopathic treatment, especially benefiting poor and rural patients.
Health experts believe this initiative will:
- Increase public trust in homeopathic medicine
- Reduce dependency on costly private care
- Strengthen Muzaffarpur’s position as an emerging medical hub
District officials have confirmed that the modernisation work has already begun, marking a new chapter for alternative medicine in Bihar.
Why This Project Matters
The RBTS project is not just about new buildings—it represents a policy-level push to integrate traditional systems of medicine with modern healthcare infrastructure. Once operational, it is expected to serve thousands of patients annually while producing skilled homeopathic professionals for the state and beyond.
